I got this idea after I did ' On A Slow Night' Ink Splats for hair. orriginally I thought to make the splats red like blood and have the girl be a red head, but I thought that I hadn't made a black woman in a while ( i have a few large pieces at home that havent been scanned yet) and so I made it black ink.
Though the splats are small, I thought it might look like an afro. In any case I am pleased with the outcome.  done in Illustrator |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
